Community Tailgate Canceled

can

We have unfortunately decided to cancel the Community Tailgate that was scheduled for September 21st. Our students and community members safety is always at the forefront of our priorities and with the anticipation of thunderstorms and potential high winds in the area it was determined postponing this event was the safest option.

In addition, Campbell City Schools knows that the weather forecast is a fluid and always changing situation; however, out of respect for the local vendors, restaurants and organizations that have committed to being a part of this event, Memorial High School wanted to give them at least a 24 hour notice.

An Incredible Opportunity for a New Public Library in Campbell An Incredible Opportunity for a New Public Library in Campbell

On August 26, 2016, officials from the Campbell City School District presented a unique solution to increase library utilization while providing increased wellness opportunities to the public.  These objectives can be achieved through the creation of a partnership to share services within the announced Campbell Athletic Recreation Complex.  Combining resources will save anticipated costs to all Mahoning County taxpayers.

The Campbell City Schools maximizes educational opportunities for all learners by responding to the needs of the community with leading-edge, high-quality, cost-effective programs and services.

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County connects people and communities to reliable resources that inspire learning and foster enrichment. Together, we are at the threshold of a unique opportunity to create a joint venture that will connect, inspire and enrich the community of Campbell and the surrounding areas.

No decisions have been made but the lines of communication remain open.  Please view the presentation documents from the August 26, 2016 meeting. /userfiles/2/my files/library presentation 82516 (2).pdf?id=547052

Student Safety with Support From Our Local Campbell Authorities student safety

Good afternoon Campbell Families,

Student safety is and will always be our number one priority here in our district. In light of the recent media coverage surrounding clown sightings, we have taken preventative measures necessary to guarantee our students’ safety. We have been in communication with local authorities here in our city who will provide additional patrols during the hours our students travel to and from school. Our authorities will be visible during all extracurricular activities and events.  As always, we encourage you to talk to your children and share preventative measures if approached by a stranger.  Lastly, report any unusual activities to the authorities or to our onsite school resource officers. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration in this matter.

Kindly,

Mr. Matthew Bowen,Superintendent
