    John Kovach class of 1958 has been chosen as our thirteenth Alumni Spotlight.  

    We are honored to posthumously induct 1958 graduate and our Association’s founding president, John Kovach, into our Hall of Fame.   John founded the Alumni Association in 2007 and served as its president until his passing in 2010.

    Paul G. Perantinides, Esq. class of 1962 has been chosen as our twelfth Alumni Spotlight.  

    While at Campbell Memorial High School, Paul was active in a multitude of extra -curricular and athletic activities, holding leadership roles in many of those clubs and teams. In his senior year, Paul was elected class president. This desire to take the lead and assist others was continued at Youngstown State University where Paul served as the President of the Student Body.

    Dr. Robert Ricchiuti class of 1959 has been chosen as our eleventh Alumni Spotlight.  

    Hall of Fame Inductee, Dr. Robert Ricchiuti, a Campbell Memorial High 1959 graduate, is a renowned urologist who is well known for his longstanding support of the Campbell City Schools and our Alumni Association.  


  • 2017 Scholarship Awards


    The Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association awarded fourteen scholarships to graduating seniors, three continuing education scholarships and two post graduate scholarships at the 2017 high school commencement, held Thursday, June 1, 2017.

    The awards are as follows:

    THE DR. AND MRS. MICHAEL PIKOS AWARD OF $2,500, sponsored by Dr. and Mrs. Michael Pikos, is presented to KAYLA GULU. Kayla will attend Slippery Rock University in the fall to pursue a degree as a special education teacher.

    THE DR. RICHARD BARR SCHOLARSHIP OF $2,000, which is renewable for a total of 4 years, is also awarded to KAYLA GULU.

    THE MICHAEL ELIAS MAILLIS/NICHOLAS ELLINOS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP OF $1,500, sponsored by Attorney Michael and Mrs. Celeste Maillis, is awarded to GIOVANNI BRUNO. Giovanni will pursue a nursing degree at YSU.

    THE NOMIKI TSAGARIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP OF $1,000, sponsored by Mr. Jack and Mrs. Melanie Maillis, is presented to CHRISTINA AUSTALOSH, who will attend cosmetology school in the fall.

    THE DR. ROBERT RICCHUITI SCHOLARSHIP OF $1,000, sponsored by Dr. and Mrs. Bob Ricchuiti, is awarded to MANUEL MAVROUDIS, who will attend YSU to seek a degree in nursing.

    CAPTAIN WILLIAM J. TOTI class of 1974 has been chosen as our tenth Alumni Spotlight.  

    William J. Toti attended the United States Naval Academy, where he received a bachelor’s degree in physics in 1979, a Master
    of Science in Electrical Engineering and the pre-doctoral Electrical Engineer degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1986.

    On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will induct four outstanding alumni into its Hall of Fame: John Kovach (Class or 1958), Dr. Robert Ricchiuti (Class of 1959), Atty. Paul Perantinides (Class of 1962), and Capt. William Toti (Class of 1974).  This event will be held in conjunction with our Reverse Raffle Scholarship Appeal.

    Tickets can be purchased at the Alumni Office or by calling 330-799-1232. 

    Deadline to purchase tickets is April 18, 2017.

    Captain Nicholas Pacalo has been chosen as our ninth Alumni Spotlight.  

    Campbell native and Memorial High School graduate, Captain Nicholas Pacalo received his commission in 1956, through the Naval Aviation Cadet Program (NAVCAD).

     Dr. Michael A. Pikos has been chosen as our eight Alumni Spotlight.  

    Dr. Michael A. Pikos is a member of the Class of 1968. Upon graduating from Memorial High School, he attended The Ohio State University graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BS degree in Biology. He then went on to graduate with honors from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Pikos completed his internship at Miami Valley Hospital and residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Montefiore Hospital.

  • Alumni Spotlight #7
     Miss. Maria Rohan has been chosen as our seventh Alumni Spotlight.  

    A member of the MHS Class of 2005, and a 2010 graduate of Youngstown State University School of Nursing, Maria Rohan embarked on a career in nursing at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.  Her path eventually led her to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland where she is a Cystic Fibrosis nurse.

           Attorney Michael J. Maillis has been chosen as our sixth Alumni Spotlight.  

    An attorney and marathoner, he is a 1986 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and a life long resident of the City.

    Dr. William Suarez, M.D., FACC has been chosen as our fifth Alumni Spotlight.  

    His academic, athletic and community accomplishments caught the attention of many universities and colleges, who pursued Will as a senior.

     Mrs. Florence Galida  has been chosen as our forth Alumni Spotlight.

    Most Campbellites consider Florence Katula Galida to be the foremost authority on the history of the city of Campbell. From her high school days spent writing for the Memo and the Campbell Journal to her present efforts, serving as president emeritus of our association, Florence's ardent passion to bring fame and recognition to our city has never faltered.

                                    DR. LIONEL NELSON has been chosen as our third Alumni Spotlight.

    The Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association’ Alumnus for of the Month is Dr. Lionel Nelson, the valedictorian and class president of Campbell Memorial High School’s class of 1992.

    Mr. John Kovach has been chosen as our second Alumni Spotlight.

    John Kovach was born in 1940 and raised and educated in Campbell. From a high school football career at Campbell Memorial High School, throughout his four decades as a sports writer with the Youngstown Vindicator, and his establishment of the Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association, John’s loyalty and commitments to Campbell was steadfast throughout his life.
