Update! Campbell’s Destination Imagination Team Advances to State Tournament
At the state leval compitition Saturday the Destination Imagination team took 2nd place, which qualifies them to move on to globals in Knoxville Tennessee next month Congratulations and good luck!!!
On March 12, students in the Destination Imagination (DI) program at Campbell City Schools participated in the regional tournament that was held at Youngstown State University. As a result of the tournament, one team from Campbell has advanced to the state competition, taking place on April 16 at Mt. Vernon High School, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
The winning team competed at a Middle Level Pace of Change Technical Challenge.They won First Place and are excited to be moving on to the State Competition Level. Members of the winning team include Emily Reninger, Courtney King, Angeleah Matzye, Taylor King and Joseph Broz.
The DI program at Campbell is a fun, hands-on experience that fosters K-12 students' creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic challenges in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Fine Arts and Service Learning.
Each year, Challenge Writers work hard to develop fun and engaging academic Challenges for all participants. Students compete in teams to complete these challenges at events and showcase their solutions at various tournaments throughout the region.
The State Tournament will take place on April 16 at Mt. Vernon High School.
