CAMPBELL, OH - The Campbell City School District has launched its official Facebook page for additional access to district-wide updates, school news, event reminders and more. Students, parents, and community members are invited to “like” the official Campbell City Schools page at https://www.facebook.com/campbellcityschools/. Campbell’s Facebook page is now an extension of the District's website. Families and community members are still encouraged to view the website but the District acknowledges the need to increase the access to the most current up-to-date information for all stakeholders.
Superintendent Matthew Bowen comments, “We would also like to recognize all the Campbell-related Facebook pages already in existence. They have done a tremendous job sharing information about the wonderful things happening in the district.”
Kent Polen, Professional Development Administrator agrees. “With more and more people on social media, Facebook is a great tool to connect with parents, students, and community members. This extension of our website will provide us an avenue to celebrate the exciting things happening in Campbell Schools,” insists Polen.
Technology Director Eric Gonzalez was instrumental in creating the platform of communication. “We have many tools that we use to communicate with staff, students and parents. Social media gives us a way to not only reach the people involved in our everyday school lives but also gives us the opportunity to reach the entire community with real-time information,” Gonzalez said. “We are excited to deliver information to staff, students, parents and community members using social media which has become a go to source for the latest news.”
