Work study will include visits support skills in the areas of Academic, Social, Purchasing, Budgeting, Personal grooming, recreation and Life;
*The Villa Maria Educational Farm and Spirituality Center. At the Villa, the students participate with light office work such as shredding paper, watering plants, collecting recycled paper and trash, passing the vacuum. A hands-on activity follows the work, which could range from outdoors, the farm, the greenhouse or academic with Sister Janet Burkhart. The visits are monthly.
*JJL Packaging site is an excellent site for the students as the work experience may lead to actual onsite employment. The bi-monthly visits support the students with their transition into the workplace. Once a month, the students enjoy a lunch visit at nearby restaurant.
*Purple Cat offers the students opportunity to transition to employment with Isle and Purple Cat. The Pearl St. location offers two programs.
*Grocery shopping at nearby stores provide the students with the ability to make choices and purchases.
*Recycling at Memorial and Board office, Stock paper for teachers.
*Laundry for the Boys Basketball team.
