My name is Daniele Philips and I am thrilled to begin my first year at Cambell City Schools! I am an Intervention Specialist who absolutely loves the challenge of working to improve the education of diverse learners. My career in teaching began as an Instructional Assistant at Summit Academy Youngstown in 2003. I immediately knew I loved teaching and began to work towards becoming an Intervention Specialist. I got my Intervention Specialist Licensure in 2007 and received my Master in Special Education from YSU in 2009. I taught at Summit Academy Youngstown for 8 years, developing strategies for differentiating curriculum to meet the needs of all students with multimodal approaches.
Previous to teaching, I had gone to The Ohio State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in the Humanities, and had majored in Russian Language and Literature. I was afforded the opportunity to study abroad in Moscow, Russia. I enjoy learning about different cultures and reading literature from many countries and eras.
I am very excited to continue my teaching career in Campbell. My mother grew up in Campbell and I have many happy childhood memories growing up at my grandparents home in Campbell and playing at Roosevelt Park.
