My name is Andrea McGoogan. I was born on January 14, 1967. My parents were Max and Anita Regula, now deceased. I have one sister, Rena. She is a secretary here at Campbell Elementary-Middle School. I was born in Youngstown. My family moved to Campbell when I was in the fifth grade. I attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Reed Middle School in Campbell. I graduated in 1985 from Campbell Memorial High School. I then attended Youngstown State University where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1990. I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 1999 from Westminster College.
I worked as a substitute teacher for various school districts for two years. In 1992, I was hired to teach second grade at Immaculate Conception School in Youngstown. I taught there for three years. I returned to working as a substitute teacher exclusively for Campbell in 1995. Finally, in 1997, I was hired by Campbell to teach Junior First grade. I taught that for seven years. I then taught first grade full time for two years. In 2007, I was hired as the part time Elementary Literacy Coach. During the 2007-2008 school year, I team taught first grade and was also the Literacy Coach. I worked as the Elementary Literacy Coach for two years. I then returned to my first grade classroom in 2010 to the present. I am also currently the ELL (English Language Learners) regular education teacher.
I married Tom McGoogan in July, 1995. We adopted our son, Nicholas, from Russia in March 2006. It took us three years to get him, but it was well worth the wait. He is the love of our lives!
