Voicemail and Homework Hotline Setup

 Personal Voicemail Box Setup

  1. Press the messages button. 
  2. Enter your ID, this is your extension.
  3. Enter your password this is 2   4   6   8  10.
  4. Record your name followed by pound (#).
  5. Record a greeting, or leave it as the default.  This is the message that everyone will hear.
  6. Enter a password.  We recommend the last 4 digits of your social security number but it is not mandatory.
  7. You will be prompted about Directory Assistance.  You want to be in directory assistance so press pound (#).
  8. Now your personal voicemail box is setup.


How to Retrieve Your Voicemail

  1. Press the messages button. 
  2. Enter your ID, this is your extension
  3. Enter your password.
  4. The attendant will now give you directions for retrieving your messages.
  5. After you listen to your messages the attendant will give you directions on whether or not you would like to repeat, save or delete your messages.

*YOU CAN NOT RETRIEVE A VOICEMAIL IF YOU HAVE NOT FIRST SETUP YOUR VOICEMAIL BOX.*

Homework Hotline Setup
For room changes and first time use

  1. Press the messages button.
    Button with an envelope, or button that says messages
  2. Enter your ID, this is your extension + 1.
    Ex: if your extension is 64320, your homework hotline extension is 64321.
  3. Enter your password this is 2   4   6   8  10.
    For setup only
  4. Record your name followed by pound (#).
    We recommend something like "Mr. Smith's Homework Hotline".
  5. Leave the personal greeting as the default, press (#).
    This is the message were you will later record your message.
  6. Enter a password.
    We recommend the last 4 digits of your social security number but it is not mandatory.
    It is also recommended that you make this password the same as your personal voicemail box.
  7. You will be prompted about Directory Assistance, press (#).
    You want to be left in directory assistance so press pound (#).
  8. Hang up.
    You are prompted your enrollment is complete and you can hang up.

 

 

How to Record a Homework Hotline Message
For everyday use after HH is setup

  1. Press the messages button.
    Button with an envelope, or button that says messages
  2. Enter your ID, this is your extension + 1.
    Ex: if your extension is 64320, your homework hotline extension is 64321.
  3. Enter your password.
    Whatever you have changed your password too.
  4. Record your standard greeting.
    You will now hear your standard greeting and this is what we are going to change.
  5. Choose number 4 which is personal settings.
  6. Press number 1 for greetings.
  7. Press number 1 again to change greetings.
  8. Press 1 to record your greeting.
  9. At the tone record your message.
    This would be your assignments, tests, upcoming events, extra credit question etc.
  10. Push (#) when done recording to hear your message.
  11. Hang up.
  12. Repeat this process daily to record your message.

DIRECTORIES BUTTON

When you press the directories button you will have 4 options displayed:
1.  Missed Calls
2.  Received Calls
3.  Placed Calls
4.  School Directory

MISSED CALLS: Lets you view any calls that you have missed.
RECEIVED CALLS:  Lets you view any calls that you have received.
PLACED CALLS:  Lets you view any calls that you have placed.
*These come in handy for returning phone calls*

SCHOOL DIRECTORY:
 Lets you look up any employee in the entire Campbell School District.  You will have the option to search by FIRST NAME, LAST NAME OR NUMBER.  The letters associated with the numbers will let you spell out the names.  For example if you press the number 2 once you will get the letter A and if you press the number 2 twice you will get the letter B.

SETTINGS BUTTON

By pressing the settings button there will be 4 options displayed:
1.  Contrast
2.  Ring Type
3.  Network Configuration
4.  Status

CONTRAST:  Will let you change the contrast on your display screen from dark to light depending on your preference.  You can make the changes by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons that display on the screen and you can save your options by pressing OK
RING TYPE:  Lets you choose between a variety of ringers by using the up and down blue arrows to highlight the ring, press SELECT to choose the ring and OK to save your option
NETWORK CONFIGURATION and STATUS:  Are for setup and administration use only.

SERVICES BUTTON

This button is not currently configured for any services, in the future this button will let us view calendars, take attendances, create hall passes etc.

HELP BUTTON

The online help feature gives users information about the phone's keys, buttons, and features.  When you press the Help button you will be asked to select a key for more info.  The next button you press will bring up a description of all the functions that relate to that button. 

VOLUME BUTTON

This button controls the volume of the ring tone when the handset is hung up and it controls the volume of the handset when it is picked up.  The plus sign makes the volume louder and the minus sign will make the volume softer.

MUTE AND SPEAKER BUTTON

When you press the Mute button the handset or the speaker phone will be muted so that the person on the other end can not hear what you are saying.  The Speaker button will let you turn on the speaker phone which will be indicated by a green light and also shut off the speaker phone by pushing the same button again.  When the speaker phone is off the light will not be lit.
