Career and College Expo

CareerandCollegeExpo-Thumb

Campbell Memorial High School along with Northeast Ohio IMPACT Academy participated in a Career and College Expo for students in grades 11 and 12. Based on a career interest survey, students will have the opportunity to follow three different tracks which will give them the opportunity to hear from local businesses and industries as well as about various post secondary options.

Campbell Memorial and NEOIA believe that exposure and authentic real world engagement with a multitude of career opportunities within our valley is the best way to retain and grow our workforce for further successful economic development in our tri-county area. This Career and College Expo allowed students to be more aware of the opportunities that's around them as post secondary options. Students had the opportunity to meet with multiple university representatives as well as various members of the local trades unions to better understand what career pathways they can take depending on the institution they choose to work with upon graduation. In addition, the presenters discussed the significance of how the coursework students take in high school can directly affect their careers to best prepare them for job retention.
